NECTA Executive Steering Committee (ESC)
Provides expert oversight and input into strategic and operational management of the network. The committee is comprised of 4 members and one Chair who are appointed by consensus and rotate regularly. Members are all internationally recognised experts in clinical trials and early phase drug development and have extensive experience in managing collaborative research endeavours. The ESC will be responsible for overall management of project grant funds, activity supervision, project reporting and meeting committed outcomes.

External Scientific Advisory Committee
External Scientific Advisory Committee (ESAC) provides independent, high-level scientific and strategic advice to the NECTA Steering Committee to guide the expansion and enhancement of the NECTA network and its initiatives. The Committee will ensure NECTA’s programs remain at the forefront of translational oncology, clinical innovation, and equitable patient access, while aligning with global best practices and scientific advancements. The ESAC consists of 5 members, with expertise spanning: Early-phase oncology clinical trials, precision oncology and cancer genomics, translational research and health services research and implementation science.

Patient and Consumer Advisory Panel
The Consumer and Patient Advisory Panel (CPAP) is established to ensure that the voices, experiences, and insights of patients, carers, and community members are embedded throughout the design, implementation, and evaluation of the NECTA-led program to strengthen early phase clinical trial (EPCT) access across NSW. The CPAP will provide advice and recommendations to ensure that the program is responsive to the needs of diverse patient populations, especially those from Indigenous, culturally and linguistically diverse, and rural and remote communities.

Indigenous Advisory Board
The NECTA Indigenous Advisory Board (IAB) provides cultural, strategic, and community-informed guidance to ensure that the NECTA is responsive to the needs, values, and health priorities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The IAB ensures that Indigenous perspectives, leadership, and culture are embedded across all stages of project planning, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination.
